DEMYSTIFYING UNILAG FOUNDATION PROGRAM 2

Okay, we've gotten acquainted. And we know why we are here. So no more 'shere shere' (what? You don't play ping pong?), let's get down to business.

CONGRATS!
Yep, first things first, congratulations!  Expect a lot of this when you resume. Every lecturer that comes to your class will first congratulate you. Every where you go for your registration and all that, you'll be congratulated. And you deserve it! It wasn't easy was it?

A Succesful Medical career with good business acumen.

A Succesful Medical career with good business acumen.

By    Iwu   Ifeanyi Olamide.

The joy we felt when we all saw our names on the admission list was magnificent, we blithely brought the list  to show our parents which in turn were happy with our achievements. The euphoria is something that would linger on in our minds. Many thoughts satiated our minds, some where to see the beautiful and eye-catching landscape the school had to offer, others were anxious to meet equally or even better intellectuals for competition sake, and a bunch of others were happy that they would see the beautiful people UNILAG had to offer.

IT'S A ONE WORD

SHE stepped into class that morning and the first thing she released to the class was "hope you are enjoyed your holidays". This was the first among series of ear assaults we were to receive and we instantly knew something was not in place, or more was in place. We knew we were going to have a jolly ride, this was no ordinary lecture, and no ordinary lecturer. There was more to her than her simple dressing, her pleasing demeanour, and the textbooks she held in her hand. She was here to do more than teach us physical properties of liquids and gas, and set another hindrance to A, she was also here to improve our vocabulary of superb shells.

PHARMACY IN UNILAG

Are you a current/aspiring student of pharmacy in the university of Lagos? Here are some details on the faculty sourced from the school's website.

Faculty of PHARMACY
Year Established : 1984
Dean : Professor U. E. Mendie
Sub Dean : Dr.(Mrs.) Mbang Owolabi
Faculty Officer : Mrs. A. A. Akinyeye
Description :
GENERAL PHILOSOPHY OF THE PHARMACY PROGRAMME
Pharmacy may be defined as that profession concerned with the art and science of preparing from natural (plants, animals, minerals, microorganisms, etc.) and synthetic sources, suitable materials and medicaments for use in the treatment and prevention of diseases. A thorough knowledge of the formulation procedures, storage, distribution and safe use of these medicinal preparations is subsumed in the above definition.  Pharmacy is therefore a science based profession which is strongly predicated on studies in the areas of the pure and applied physical, chemical and biological and technological sciences.
The general philosophy of Pharmacy richly endowed education is to produce and develop well educated persons – (i.e. persons developed in knowledge, mind and character). The ultimate objective of any professional education is to produce practitioners with adequate knowledge and skills who will provide professional and useful service to the fatherland and mankind. The undergraduate education in pharmacy is designed and intended to prepare students for the profession of pharmacy.  The philosophy of pharmacy education borders on the establishment of standards to ensure quality pharmacy education.
