Okafor Emmanuel (M.B.B.S)  Description: https://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/536776_2327743648596_1839298508_n.jpg

1.      Introduce yourself- I am Okafor Emmanuel, I was in the University Of Lagos Diploma Class Of 2013, studying Medicine and Surgery.

2.       What are your targets for the future- My Future Target is to revolutionise Medicine both theoretically and practically in Nigeria. I also plan on making ground breaking discoveries which will benefit both Nigerians and the world at large. A Nobel Prize may be within my sight as well, who knows?

3.      Aim at College Of Medicine, Idiaraba- I think my aim is the same as every other student's  which is to try to be the best they can be in their different areas of specialisation. I also hope to meet new people, academicians, Entrepreneurs and people who don't mind mixing fun with their studies.

4.      Reading Strategies- I don't really have a reading strategy per say. I just hit the books whenever I think I have some really areas of a course I need to revise or study again to solidify my understanding of the concept.

5.      Any other special thing you did to achieve Success- Apart from reading you need to stay close to God of course. If you really want to reach your full potential, then you have to involve God in your academics.

6.      How did you handle distractions?  Haha, what distractions? My Opinion of what a distraction may be quite different from yours, so it depends on what you mean. I know it's  not a popular opinion, but I think you can afford to be "Distracted" a bit, as long as you still make up for the first time

7.      Advice for new " Diplomites"- I know it'll sound a bit cliché if I ask them to  "work hard and be serious and focused" and the rest, but honestly all those things are really important if they want to succeed. They should try and do very well in the first semester so they don't have to struggle to make up grades in the second semester. It's also important they put God First. If they do all these, they'll  be smiling all the way to Idi- Araba

8.      Favourite Lecturer- Haha, it's a bit tough to say because I find it hard to keep track of all their names, but I did enjoy the DMED lecturer's class. I believe his name is Professor Yomi. He has a way of making his enthusiasm spread to his students.

9.      Best Moments-  Hmmn, I think my best moment was when I submitted my PHS 104 exam sheet ( which was the last exam we had to write in diploma). The relief and excitement that washed over me was just amazing.

10.  How did you feel after seeing your result? - Of course I felt happy. It was a special moment for me because I worked hard for the result for nearly a year. I was absolutely overjoyed when I realised I was going to Idi- araba

11.  Parents Reaction- They were the first set of people I broke the news to and they were totally delighted.

12.   Advice You got from your parents before Diploma-  Their advice was basically the same as the one I gave the new '' Diplomites"

13.  What would you have done to have achieved a perfect score- Achieving a perfect score is a bonus, the most important thing is to give your best.

14.   Best Restaurant- I don't have one. There are a lot of places that serve excellent meals in school.

15.  Friendship and social life- I am not really the "classic extrovert", but I'm not a recluse either, so I guess my social life is just fine. I have some friends, but I generally try to get along with everyone I meet.

16.  General Remarks including what you think the interview would do to others-  This Interview has everyone that reads it an idea of the experiences I have heard and I believe those that are about to enter not just the diploma programme but other programmes  in tertiary institutions would gain something from it.  Cheers.
